Semi-Military Funeral Service For The Late Constable 1566 Neville Minns

Semi- Military Funeral Service for the late Constable 1566 Neville Minns will be held on Wednesday 15th January, 2020 at 10:00am at Evangelistic Temple, Collins Avenue.

The service will be conducted by Pastor Vaughn Cash assisted by Father Stephen Davies, Force Chaplain. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The late Neville Minns joined the ranks of the Royal Bahamas Police Force as a Recruit Constable at the Police Training College, Oakes Field on 13th December, 1982; he was assigned the number 1566.

After graduating from the Training College he was posted at the following Divisions:



Constable Minns was described by his supervisors as a hardworking, conscientious individual who performed his duties professionally and with the utmost integrity. His conduct exuded that of an officer who took his job seriously, as was made manifest by his resilience and enthusiasm in his twenty-five years of service to the organization.

Constable Minns continued to protect and serve the citizens of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas when he was commissioned as a Reserve on 3rd December, 2013 and subsequently discharged from active duty on the same date. He was well respected among his peers and remained an honest, outspoken officer who could be called upon at any hour to assist in time of need.

Constable Minns made significant contributions to the Police Force during his stint at the Drug Enforcement Unit (Strike Force) in the 1990's until the time of his demise. He was a part of a team of officers responsible for the interdiction and eradication of prolific offenders during that era.

He will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.
